My personal Connection to Walking

Walking has become one of my most essential healing rituals.
It calms me in a way no medication or therapy can.
Usually, I walk next to the sea, letting the rhythmic sound of the water wash over my mind and dissolve stress naturally.
The sound of the waves, the salty breeze, the endless horizon — they all work together to reset my nervous system, lower my cortisol, and bring deep peace.

Since I live in a town blessed to be next to the sea, I take full advantage of it — embracing every opportunity to walk along the shoreline, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature’s healing power.

Other times, I choose to walk in the mountains, where the silence of the trees, the scent of the earth, and the fresh mountain air recharge my energy and spirit.

My Origin: Lefkara — Walking Through Living History

My roots trace back to the beautiful village of Lefkara, one of Cyprus’ most famous and historic places.
Lefkara is renowned for its traditional handmade lace (Lefkaritika) and intricate silverwork, with traditions that date back to the Venetian period (15th century).

The village’s narrow cobbled streets, charming stone houses, and blooming courtyards create a timeless atmosphere — a feeling that history is alive in every corner.

Some of my favorite moments are spent walking through the quiet, narrow streets of Lefkara under the stars.
• Feeling the cool night air.
• Hearing the soft echoes of footsteps on ancient stones.
• Gazing at the old architecture and thinking of the generations who walked there before me.
• Feeling deeply connected — not just to my family history, but to the deeper rhythm of life itself.

In Lefkara, every step feels like a journey into memory and spirit.
The simplicity, the beauty, the connection to something older and wiser than modern life — all of it heals the soul.
